Our Story
Toad Hall was newly built and founded in 2021, and is a truly magnificent equine facility. We comprise a 25 box livery yard and Therapy Centre made up of FMBs therapy systems water treadmill, cold water salt spa, and Sea Climate system. All set in extensive land, in the heart of the peaceful Sussex countryside. The facilities here are all top class, and with its huge potential we have put a brilliant team in place to run each aspect of this business effectively. This has taken time, and is an ever evolving journey. The current team combine a range of skills and experience, each working and specialising in a different area's of Toad Hall whilst also working in close collaboration as a team to deliver excellent equine care.

Maruska Aylward-Green
Maruska qualified from Kings College in London as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2003 and went on to work full time in the NHS. After gaining experience in a range of NHS Physiotherapy departments she went on to specialise in musculoskeletal injuries in private practice.
In 2008, Maruska obtained her MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College to become a Category A ACPAT member.
Maruska was a co-director of Bridgefield Physiotherapy Ltd with Jenny Wilson from 2010-2024 and in 2024 Maruska opened MAG Bridgefield Physiotherapy to continue her work as a sole trader.
Maruska now predominantly treats equine patients and has a keen interest in the use of and research surrounding the Equine Water Treadmill. Maruska has gained experience assessing horses in various treadmill establishments and is well placed to help support horses in rehabilitation at Toadhall.
In previous years (2012-16) Maruska was on the ACPAT committee and produced the ACPAT journal for 3 years running. She has also completed training in human acupuncture and in the APPI Pilates method which also helps her when treating any more specific rider based problems.
Previously, an all round rider, in her spare time now, Maruska enjoys raising her three young children around her work with her husband, Chris Green, who is also a human Physiotherapist (Chris Green Physiotherapy Ltd). Carter (2016), Lawson (2019) and Lenaya (2021) keep them busy and they enjoy taking them riding and competing with the Old Surrey and Burstow Pony Club and other local events

Nicola Benson
Nicola is a passionate and dedicated practitioner specialising in McTimoney Veterinary Chiropractic care. Nicola, a fully qualified and insured practitioner, delivers exceptional musculoskeletal treatment to each animal patient, ensuring the highest standards of care and service. Nicola brings both accredited expertise and compassion to every treatment.
Nicola holds a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Equine Rehabilitation and Sports Therapy from the University of Greenwich, a Graduate Certificate in Animal Therapy with Distinction and a Master of Science in Animal Manipulation (Chiropractic) with Distinction from McTimoney College of Chiropractic. She also holds a Certificate in Kinesio Taping from the Kinesio Taping Association International.
Nicola is a member of the McTimoney Animal Association and registered with the Register of Animal Musculoskeletal Practitioners. These esteemed organisations demonstrate her adherence to rigorous educational standards, exceptional practice and a strict code of ethics.
Nicola provides expert mobile veterinary chiropractic services across Sussex, Surrey and Kent and equine chiropractic treatment at Toad Hall Farm. Equine chiropractic treatments can be coupled with equine therapy services offered by Toad Hall Farm.

Jennifer
Jennifer is an Equine Osteopath, Masseur and the only Algotherapist practionner in England.
She offers Equine Algotherapy trainings both nationally and internationally.
‘Passion always pushes me to train myself more every year on different topics and the desire to learn always pushes me to want to live new experiences in the field of equine health and well-being. My ultimate goal is to work in a global approach which allows to me improve and respect the emotional and physical integrity of each horse.’
Jennifer is qualified with Distinction in Equine Sport Massage Therapist and confirmed as member of IAAT in June 2018.
The International Association of Animal Therapists expects a high standard of work and commitment from its members and to that end requires them to maintain their skill base by completing Continued Professional Development or CPD.

Sarah Holland-Villa
I have worked with horses all my life in various capacities, I am a qualified instructor and equine bodyworker but I now focus on my Equine Thermography business. Thermography gives an insight to what is happening in your horse's muscular/skeletal system and it can be very useful at identifying potential pathology. At EPT we use a team approach to get the best results for the horse.

We have a variety of work to experience both on the yard and in the therapy centre, with an enthusiastic and supportive team of staff to work alongside.
